In May 2010 our Kitecamp on Masirah Island starts to operate. There we offer all services, like in our centre in sawadi and we offer also Accommodation in our Bedouin style Camp directly on the spot. Details you can find here.

Masirah Island

Climate:
Being situated in the Indian Ocean , there are ideal conditions for the kite boarding sport especially in summer as it is influenced by the monsoon. Between May and September , the strength of wind is over 20 knots as a rule which keeps temperatures under 33° C even if other parts of Oman report temperatures of up to 40° C or more.

The Spirit:
Masirah Island is an unequalled “playground” for all kiters who are interested in finding more than the perfect spot together with perfect conditions. This island is a “must” for everyone looking for kite adventure in breath-taking surroundings. It is one of the few places worldwide where you escape crowded spots and mass tourism to enjoy beautiful pure nature.

The inhabitants of this island did not succumb to modern influence. Therefore the genuine and traditional way of life of the Middle East still prevails.

Undisturbed by human influence, this island became one of the last sanctuaries of nature, especially for certain animals. One finds flamingos in their natural environment, and there is also the world’s second-largest breeding ground for sea turtles.

Needless to mention that only a responsible and environmentally friendly contact with nature will preserve this paradise. Therefore our camp and is build without interferences in the environment.

On Masirah Island it is not possible to exchange foreign currency to Omani Rial even in banks.
